What is Nerve Glue?
Nerve Glue is a creative side project inspired by my studies in neuroscience, and my upcoming PhD.
The name comes from glial cells: astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, and microglia, the cells that support and connect the brain's neurons. For years, they were thought to be little more than the brain's "glue." We now know they play an important role in learning, memory, development, and lifelong brain health.
With these designs, I see neuroscience through a playful, nostalgic lens: making brain planets, lava lamps, iPods and other Y2K-inspired designs.
My hope is that looking at these designs sparks a little curiosity, whether about neuroscience or anything else you’re interested in.
Every purchase directly helps support my neuroscience research and future science communication projects.
Thank you for supporting this small corner of art and science.
